Missing Perimeters Every Other Layer

I’m trying to print a purge test model, but the slice is displaying a lack of perimeters every other layer for the first several layers of the model.

It would probably still print, but be a bit ugly here, but the behavior is completely unintended and could be an issue on more complicated models. Slicing this model in single-color mode does not cause this issue.

The only major thing I can notice is that the layers with missing perimeters are the ones below the “1” in the front of the model. From the layer where the 1 begins, no further perimeters are skipped. This behavior happens regardless of the shell thickness.

Changing the perimeter order to “outside first” does stop this behavior, but I would prefer to not use this, as it can reduce external surface quality on detailed models.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi @volpethrope, I’m curious to see if this behavior is the same between slicer engines on Canvas. Could you try switching between Kisslicer and Slic3r to see if the results are the same?

Could you also provide a link to the purge test model?
