Outgoing Tube Length Tuning

I’m in the process of dialing in the printer, and I want someone to tell me if I’m barking up the wrong tree. I don’t see anything about this in any of the tuning guides I’ve read. I’m running a custom tube length as this is an enclosed reverse-bowden system. It’s also worth noting the ping/pong does bring the transition back to the correct spot, this is only impacting the transitions early in a print (so far).

If the filament arrives at the P3 too early, then I need to decrease the outgoing tube length in printer settings?

I found that when my outgoing was a measured 100mm i set the length to 110mm so it reached the feeder as it sits lower than the Tube collar.

Comments:

I would have assumed (maybe falsely) that any of the Palettes would reference the tube length from where the tube sits in the device.

But in either case, knowing what issues to look for and how to adjust is more important in my eyes than setting what is presumed to be an accurate measurement.

Yeah from what i read it says the length is to the collar but my feed rollers are a good 15mm lower so i just added the extra and well it helps with the extra bit to feed in, haven’t really had a successful print yet but that’s a different story.
