Under Extrusion with the newest firmware

I loaded the latest firmware (21.12.21.0) and now I’m getting underextrusion to the point where my Pings go below 50% and fail. If I run the printer (Artillery Sidewinder X2) by itself, everything runs great. It’s like at some random point, the hobbed gear still turns but the filament stops coming out. There are no clogs. It’s as if the filament stops moving out to the printer? This is just another new problem after 2 months with the Palette 3 Pro (I have had 2 good prints so far.)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Comments:

I have the same problem with an Ender 3v2, and it happens BEFORE any splice. It's almost as though the printer is extruding too slowly, and I feel like there should be another setting to address pressure on the printer.

Hi @bobbert69, apologies for the delay in response.

It sounds like there is sufficient filament loaded into the extruder during printing, but the filament stops coming out once it’s in the hot end.

Since you are noticing that the printer prints fine on its own, it is possible that a splice may have gotten caught in the extruder. Are you using any custom splice tuning values? Also, with any recent splices do you observe any of them to be larger or bulging? Digital calipers can help with this, any splice that is >1.85mm or so is considered a bulging splice.
