First splice brittle PAL to PLA
I’m trying to print the test piece and I’m finding that the first splice fails immediately when it hits the buffer. All other spices are correct and as I’m splicing PLA to PLA I don’t understand why only the first splice fails.
Is this a good question?
I have run the splice tuning and all other splices are good. It’s just the first short splice that fails.

Thanks for taking the time to do the splice tuning. Could you share the CANVAS project where you applied these splice settings (instructions here: mm3d.co/canvas-sharing)? Please make sure to share the model, printer profile, material profile, and splice settings as well. Could you also tell me if you are using a Hub?

Alina - here's the link https://share.canvas3d.io/projects/de638...
The splice settings are 1,0,1 (they were originally 0,0,0 but I changed them to try to address the issue).
I am using a Hub S.

Looking at the piece that falls off it looks as if it doesn't look as if it has been spliced at all. Could there be a problem because the first piece is so small?

Could you try sharing the CANVAS project once more? I am not able to open it on my end, it might be a deleted project or the share link is incorrect.
A couple other things to check in the meantime: 1) Does the splice core light up during this first, short splice? 2) Could you take the core out and test that the pins all bounce back when you press down on them? You can use the instructions at mm3d.co/splicer-tube to see how to take the core out and put it back in. Also if you could attach a video here or send it to me at alina@mosaicmfg.com of this occurring, that would be really helpful! Thanks for your patience with this.
