ABS Splice Tuning P3 Pro

I print almost exclusively ABS, the P3 Pro lists a max temp of 250C, and has a PTFE tube in the splice core. I assume there is no combination of settings that will damage the splice tube and go GLaDOS mode with neurotoxins.

Has anyone done initial tuning on ABS?

I did some very brief test splices and they seemed slightly brittle, any risk of just cranking max temp min cooling?
