My Canvas hub S has forgotten that it is a Canvas hub S - Web cam

I am trying to install your webcam package. It keeps telling me “Unavailable - this device is not a CANVAS Hub S” but it is - it just seems to have forgotten it. Is there any way to restore it without re-flashing the memory? The instructions on re-flashing seem to indicate that I will loose my serial number and have it replaced with a generic one. Would this cause problems with your online services later?

If I do have to flash I would prefer to use a new SD card and keep the old one in case something goes wrong. What size and type of SD card do I need?

Hey there, which camera are you using with OctoPrint? However, it does sound like you’ll need to re-flash your Hub if it’s not being detected properly. Changing the serial number won’t cause any issues in the future.

The SD card inside the Hub S is a micro 8gb card.
