"change filament" option grayed out entire time.

Hello, I’m trying to print 6 colors, I’ve sliced my object into the 6 parts, added my pause during the 4th color. And the “change filament” option on the pallette is grayed out. I started the print, paused the print in canvas, still grayed out options.

This is an easy color change by layer height, no transition tower, 6 colors/ 6 splices. the layers seem to be to close together. I understand they could get offset due to the amount of purge at the beginning but all the transitions are to close together. like chroma is mashing them to close together then the last color runs way to long.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hey @twobit0, thanks for reaching out. Could you make sure that under settings > preferences > runout detection > you have “splice to next drive” enabled (versus “clear outgoing”)? This should solve the greyed out issue. However, please note that without a transition tower, you will not see clear transitions on the print. This is because the initial colour needs to be fulled purged from your extruder before a new colour is applied.
