Better right side up or upside down for TPU?

I’m in the process of setting up a new printer profile specifically for flexible filaments (any suggestions welcome). TPU has been the only filament that has jammed in the palette for me. The palette now sits almost upside down, maybe about 170 degrees. Does orientation make any difference for TPU splicing on the palette 2s pro?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hey @old_school, while the orientation of Palette should not affect splicing TPU, we do have some tips here on how to print successfully with flexibles. In addition to these tips, I would add:

  • use TPU that has a shore hardness of 95A
  • check the screws that hold the drive arms - make sure they aren't too tight so that the TPU can travel freely
  • run the TPU from drives 2 and 3 as these paths have less bends
  • if you can, try this brand of TPU as our community members highly recommended it:
