Connection Status: Not Connected to Canvas There seems to be an issue

Updated to the latest version of canvas on octoprint and it can’t connect and gives the above error

When I look at the mosaic log I see this:

@alina I have tried that. I don’t have the screen in step 2. I have the attached photo.

Hey Ryan, could you attach a screenshot of what you see under the software update tab in OctoPrint? This should show that Palette and Canvas plugins are both at version 3.0.0

Thanks for sending that over Ryan, could you please send us your mosaic.log and octoprint.log from a day that this issue occurred? You can use the steps here to do so (mm3d.co/octoprint-logs). The mosaic logs are in the same place as the OctoPrint logs. If you have trouble attaching it here, please send it over to support@mosaicmfg.com

I am having the exact same issue. I shut my Hub and printers off before going out of town and when I returned it gives the same message as above and I am no longer able to get a code to add it back to my Canvas setup.


I tried uninstalling and cleaning up the plugin data but nothing helps. There is no way to log out of my canvas account on the hub. This is a major issue and not an isolated incident. Let me know if there is anything you need from me to help.

Hi everyone, thank you for your patience with this. The Canvas team has looked into this and will be releasing a new plugin version on Wednesday July 19th to address this issue. I will update this thread with the new links then. Please let us know if you continue to see this issue after installing the new versions.

I’m still having this issue, “Not Connected to Canvas” with no option to specify a Canvas account.

I have solved this on my machine and informed mosaic as they couldn’t.

the latest version of the plug in has more detailed logs.

if you have a custom build pi or similar it’s because the permissions on the ping executable aren’t correct.

Basically the plug in tries to ping Google and it can’t so all the commands after this point are abandoned.

You can check if your pings permissions are ok by manually pinging Google yourself. Eg ping www.Google.com

If it can’t use ping it will give an error so you’ll need to Google how to set the permissions.

If your ping executable is ok then your problem lies elsewhere.
