First splice consistently fails.

I am trying to print something in PETG and TPU. I have done splice calibration and determined values that work for petg->tpu and different values for tpu->petg. They work consistently when using the local splice setting feature on the palette 2S.

I input the values in canvas for my project, sliced and sent to the printer. The first splice always fails. It looks like nothing or close to nothing is actually done during the process.. both petg and tpu ends look just cut.

I opened the canvas generated gcode in notepad and noticed that I can't find the splice settings anywhere (in the commented definition of the 4 extruders beating, cooling, and compression are all defined at 0 and the material names are just “material 1”, “material 2” etc.. the print settings overrides seem to be applying though.
