Hey @jgc, thanks for reaching out. When you are in accessory mode (using Palette without a Hub), there is no communication between Palette and your printer. They are physically connected via the outgoing tube, and when you start the print on your printer, Palette will make filament as the extruder pulls it. The MAF file you load onto Palette does not affect the printer. To change how the printer heats up the bed or the nozzle, you will have to change the GCode sequence in your slicer (Cura) before importing it into Chroma. I found [https://3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/12188/simultaneous-heating-of-extruder-and-bed-at-start-of-print|this blog post here] that explains how you can change the sequence to make the bed and nozzle heat at the same time, which should be more efficient.
