Was there any solution to this issue? I’m having the same problem right now, except I’m splicing PETG -> PETG.
+Edit: I think I figured out how to avoid this issue - Make sure the first filament which goes down onto your print bed is loaded in to input 1. I’m not familiar enough (yet) with my Pallete 2S to form a guess as to whether that’s a bug, or a design constraint of the hardware/firmware, nor how to devise a test to determine that.

+Update to edit: Nope. Now it’s failing to splice even with that setup.
